Are your one of the many people who have went on a vacation at least once before? Right so you got in your car all excited, drove to the airport then Bam! One hundred miles away from home you realize you left your kid at school?

So maybe your not that bad but plenty of people have experienced what I like to call airport panic. That is when you get to the airport and start to panic because you forgot to bring or do something important, like for instance you forgot to inform your boss about said vacation. Well no need to worry because your old friend Shalese (that’s me) has got your back. I’ve made a list to solve all of your unnecessary airport panics. You can thank me later, for now just read this and let you worries vanish.

I really should not have to tell you this but what ever you do, if you have small children please make sure that they are safely in the vehicle or with a guardian, when you enter your vehicle to leave. Children protective services will be the least of your problems if you don’t check this one off.

As you start planing your trip you should slowly inform everyone who need to know about your plans. Such as your boss and the friend that you are recruiting to feed your dog while your away.

Be smart while packing your clothes for the trip. Do some research on the weather and conditions of the places that you will be going. You do not want to make the locals laugh when you step off the plane to Alaska in short shorts and flip flops. Easy fix, just do your research.

Do not inform anyone untrustworthy about your up coming trip. Your house might be empty when you leave, but if the wrong person finds out you could come back to find that your house is a lot more empty then you remember it.

Buy all your tickets and reserve your seats in advance. There is nothing worse then getting to the airport only to find out you will be spending half of your vacation time in the waiting room.

Call the post office and arrange for your mail to be stopped while your away, or if you like have someone you trust completely, pick it up for you. No one wants to come home and find out that there is now a new Bobby Micheal in town who likes to spend your money for you.

Pay any of your bills that wont wait for you to came home. Getting an eviction notice on vacation is a complete mood kill. Avoid it if possible by paying advanced payments before you leave or at least paying off any back payments you have stacked up.

Ask a friendly neighbor to keep an eye on things while your gone. Give them a list of emergency numbers and tell them if anyone will be coming around, so that they can know when things are not right. Maybe even ask them to park their car in your drive way to out-smart burglars.

Find out what kind of insurance you have on your vehicle, see if there is any coverage available for rented transportation also. You should definitely arrange for some sort of transportation from the destination airport before-hand to avoid any bothersome situations on arrival.

When your ready to walk out the door and drive to the airport, start to Secure and prepare your home for your departure. Close all of your windows and lock all your doors, generally just make sure that everything is locked or secured. Unplug all your small appliances, doing this will not only restrict the chances of a accident happening but will also lower your electricity bill.

Now that your ready to head to the airport all you have to worry about is fighting off the unavoidable boredom on the long flight ahead. Good luck finding a solution to that problem.

If your anything like me your probably interested in living a long and healthy life right? Well if you are that’s great it means your doing better than most of the people out there who never stop to think about what the foods they eat is doing to their body.

So to help out all my fellow health fanatics out there I decided to post this helpful article listing some of my favorite healthy snack foods. Made to use in those desperate times to come when you realize with horror that you are starving and there is no salad bar within one-hundred feet of where you are! Yikes!! We have all been in that scary place and in our desperation we may have let our normally good judgment slide. It is my mane priority to make sure that that never has to happen again with my four healthy, handy, dandy on-the-go snacks! Enjoy!

Sweet Treat:

Caramel Corn Rice Cake and Low-Fat Yogurt = yum. So sounds simple right? Don’t be fooled there is nothing simple about this sweet delicious snack. It has never once failed to satisfy my hunger and my huge sweet tooth. Oh did I forget to mention that is all for under 200 calories? Right so next time you go out make sure to put this sweet treat in your purse or bag to snack on later.

Protein snack:

Cheese Stick and A Boiled Egg: There is nothing quite like protein to help me live through a day running purely on caffeine and three hours of broken sleep. With 14 grams of protein and only 150 calories this filling and health snack meets all my standards with flying colors and can keep me on my feet even on my worst most soul sucking days. I was surprised and happy to find that they now sell boiled eggs and cheese sticks in most gase stations and super markets, or if you want to save a little money just stick this mini super snack in a sandwich bag and throw it in your purse or bag to munch on when ever you please.

Fiber snack:

Three dried figs and A Small Bran Muffin: Forget about yogurt to keep your digestive system regular. This fiber filled snack will fix you right up. Better yet this snack is wonderful tasting, healthy to eat and has some very helpful side affects as a plus. With 6 grams of fiber 5 grams of protein, 500 milligrams of potassium and 210 calories this sweet treat will make you regret all the time you suffered through the day bloated and sick. Stick that in your purse or bag and head out for a wonderful day.

Vegan and Vegetarian snack:

Roasted Edamame’s and Soy Milk: The two biggest problems all vegans and vegetarians have to deal with is getting enough protein and calcium out of their diet. I hated when people would look at me like they were just waiting for me to pass out or something when I would tell them I was a vegan. Well you have to be careful that you eat lots of protein and calcium to avoid doing just that. Luckily for all the V words out there, edamame’s are packed with protein and soy milk is brimming with calcium. This snack has 20 grams of protein, 300 milligrams of calcium, 9 grams of fiber and only 200 calories. This will keep you stuffed full and you can probably find roasted edamame’s and soy milk at your local super-mart. If not just head over to the nearest health food store. Fill a bottle with soy milk and a sandwich bag with edamame’s, throw them in your bag or purse and head out that door confident that you are now officially prepared for anything!

Below are some resourses for you to find out more about healthy snacks and food option. Good luck!

If your child suffers with sea sickness this article was made for you. I did my research and have found the top ten best and simplest ways to avoid and prevent sea sickness in children. I sincerely hope this article will helps out your situation.

Motion sickness pills are my favorite way to avoid sea sickness in children. They are easy to find ,almost every gas station I’ve been in has them, and easy to use, they have a yummy tasting chewable version available for children.

If you plan on feeding your child while on board a boat simply try to avoid heavy or greasy foods. If your child has a sensitive stomach this is an easy way to help prevent unnecessary sea sickness.

Buy your children ginger candy and cookies to take on board with you. Ginger is clinically proven to help settle an upset stomach and relieve feelings of nauseousness. Eating peppermint in with the ginger might also help. Plus it’s perfectly safe to use ginger and mint along with the motion sickness pills.

Make sure your child gets lots of rest before getting on any boat. Being tired and lethargic can make your child’s body more susceptible to things like sea sickness.

Be sure to keep giving your child water throughout the day, maybe even before you get onto the boat to avoid dehydration. Being dehydrated lowers the bodies ability to deal with stressful environments, like for example being on an moving boat.

When your on the boat avoid enclosed spaces if you see your child starting to look sick take them to the side of the boat and have them look at the horizon or at the shore. Also if its very hot on board and you think it might be adding to the sickness take them some were cool to relax.

Do not let your child read or play small hand held gaming devices(think Gameboy). Believe me its for their own good. Focusing on small things like that can severely increase their chances of becoming sea sick.

Try giving your child Saltine crackers to snack on while on board the boat. They help to absorb the excess acid in the stomach and they are a tasty snack for your little one.

Avoid rough waters if possible. The less motion your child is feeling the less likely they are to get sea sick.

If your still feeling desperate for help you can always go to your child’s doctor or pediatrician, before getting on the water, to see if they can offer you an over the counter solution that fits your child’s specific needs.
